Day 1: Antananarivo
Arrive in vibrant Antananarivo, Madagascar. Upon arrival, you’ll be warmly welcomed and transferred to the Radisson Blu Hotel for an overnight stay, including breakfast.

Day 2: Antananarivo – Andasibe
After a relaxed morning, your guide and driver will pick you up from the hotel. Begin the journey to Andasibe-Mantadia, a stunning rainforest on Madagascar’s eastern escarpment, reached via a scenic 5-hour drive along winding roads. Enjoy a 3-night stay at either Mantadia Lodge, Andasibe Hotel, or Vakona Forest Lodge, on a half-board basis. Start with an introductory rainforest walk alongside your guide.

Day 3: Andasibe
Start your day early in the rainforest to experience the magical dawn chorus, a prime time for spotting diurnal wildlife. As the mists lift from the canopy, you’ll hear the Indri lemurs calling across the forest. Your guide will lead you on easy trails and help you discover unique animals. In the evening, join a night walk with guides from the VOIMMA association or the Mitsinjo NGO, where you might encounter various fascinating nocturnal animals.

Day 4: Andasibe
Spend another day exploring Madagascar’s premier protected rainforest site. Adventurous visitors can head to Mantadia National Park or the Maromizaha Experimental Reserve. For a meaningful experience, consider planting an endemic tree sapling from the Mitsinjo NGO’s nurseries, contributing to ongoing habitat restoration efforts. Horseback riding is also available, and the lodges offer swimming pools for relaxation during warmer months.

Day 5: Andasibe – Antananarivo
Opt for a final early-morning rainforest walk before returning to Antananarivo. Stop at Ambohimanga, a UNESCO World Heritage royal village, offering panoramic views of the Highlands. Spend the night at Relais des Plateaux, with breakfast included.

Day 6: Antananarivo – Anjajavy
Transfer to the MTA lounge at Antananarivo airport for a quick flight to Anjajavy (departing at 07:30 thrice weekly). Upon arrival, transfer to Anjajavy Le Lodge, where you’ll stay for 5 nights in a sea-facing, air-conditioned villa with all meals included.

Days 7-10: Anjajavy
Unwind at the exclusive Anjajavy Lodge, the country’s only Relais & Châteaux property. The Anjajavy Peninsula offers seven pristine white-sand beaches and access to protected dry deciduous forest, home to endemic baobabs like Adansonia madagascariensis. Daily wildlife sightings include groups of Coquerel’s sifaka and brown lemurs in the lodge gardens. Birdwatching, reptile spotting, and guided day and night walks are included.

Day 11: Anjajavy – Antananarivo – Departure
Return to Antananarivo via MTA flight, where your guide will take you on a sightseeing and shopping excursion. You’ll have access to a day/evening room at Relais des Plateaux before your late evening transfer to the airport for your departure.
