Discover the park’s rich biodiversity, from lemurs to chameleons, before marveling at the surreal Red Tsingy formations. Then, continue your adventure with a full day exploring the limestone wonders of Ankarana National Park, where dry deciduous forests and unique wildlife await.
Next, transition to the serene shores of Nosy Be, where you can spend your days relaxing on palm-fringed beaches and exploring Lokobe National Park. Dive into the crystal-clear waters of Nosy Tanikely Marine Reserve and encounter marine life in its natural habitat.

Day 1: Arrival in Antananarivo
Upon arrival in Antananarivo, you’ll be greeted at the airport and transferred to your hotel. During the drive, enjoy views of rice paddies, traditional homes, and scenes of daily life in this bustling city of approximately two million inhabitants. Once you arrive at the hotel, the remainder of the day is free for you to relax. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2: Antananarivo to Diego Suarez
Today, you’ll fly from Antananarivo to Diego Suarez, located at the northern tip of Madagascar. Depending on your arrival time, you can explore the stunning Three Bays: the Bay of Sakalava, Bay of Pigeons, and Bay of Dunes. Each bay has its own unique landscape and beautiful turquoise waters. Highlights include Cape Mine and Orangéa Camp, known for their historical fortifications. Along the route, enjoy views of the French Mountain (Montagne des Français) and the impressive red baobabs. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 3: Diego Suarez to Joffre Ville
You will embark on a scenic boat journey with experienced sailors and fishermen from Diego Suarez Bay to the breathtaking Emerald Sea, one of the region’s most secluded and pristine bays. Relax and snorkel in the crystal-clear waters while fishermen prepare a delicious fresh catch for lunch. After this excursion, we’ll take a scenic 45-kilometer drive north to Joffreville, the gateway to Amber Mountain National Park. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 4: Joffre Ville to Ankarana
In the morning, visit Amber Mountain National Park, renowned for its lush rainforest and diverse wildlife. Spot crowned lemurs, lemur fulvus, chameleons, and various bird species as you explore the park’s beautiful waterfalls and lakes. Afterward, continue with a scenic 100-kilometer drive through the Antakarana region to witness the unique Red Tsingy, striking red sandstone formations shaped by wind and rain. Capture the stunning views from a nearby viewpoint before concluding the day with dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 5: Ankarana National Park
Spend the day immersed in the rugged beauty of Ankarana National Park, where you’ll navigate through limestone pinnacles and dry forests with baobabs and elephant foot plants. Explore caves and keep an eye out for wildlife, including crowned lemurs, ring-tailed mongoose, and the northern sportive lemur. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 6: Nosy Be via Ankify
Start the day with a scenic overland transfer to Ankify, lasting about three hours, and then travel by boat to the island of Nosy Be. You’ll enjoy two interleading rooms at Palm Beach for a five-night stay, with dinner and breakfast included. Nosy Be, off the northwest coast of Madagascar, features vibrant French colonial architecture, lively markets, and the Lokobe Reserve, home to chameleons, geckos, and frogs. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 7: Lokobe National Park
Travel to Lokobe National Park by traditional dugout canoe, known locally as a ‘lakana.’ The park’s easy-going nature trail offers a chance to encounter endangered species like the Black lemur, Nosy Be sportive lemur, and a range of reptiles and frogs. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 8: Nosy Tanikely Island Excursion
Embark on a scenic boat journey to Nosy Tanikely, a nearby satellite island designated as a marine reserve, known for its vibrant coral reef. Spot green turtles, lemurs, a large colony of Madagascar flying foxes, and beautiful tropical birds. A picnic lunch will be provided. Return to Nosy Be for dinner and a relaxing overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 9: Leisure Day in Nosy Be
Enjoy a free day in Nosy Be to unwind or pursue optional activities of your choice. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 10-11: Farewell to Nosy Be
Conclude your stay on Nosy Be with relaxing days on this idyllic island. Savor farewell dinners and peaceful evenings at the hotel.
Day 12: Nosy Be to Antananarivo and Departure
Wrap up your journey with a return transfer by speedboat and car to Nosy Be airport. From there, catch your Air Madagascar flight back to Antananarivo. Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to the nearby San Cristobal Hotel, where you can make use of a day or evening room. Later, you will be transferred to Ivato Airport for your return flight home.
